Remembrance Day

Today, our class sang a song about Remembrance Day and we wore poppies in class.  We talked about why this day is important.  A poppy in French is called a "coquelicot".

Katelyn said: "Today is the day we wear poppy pins to remember the soldiers that protect our country"

Michael made a connection and said: "Two people in my family were soldiers,.  My grandpa and great-grandpa."

Some students drew pictures of poppies and made poppies with building blocks.

 Serena wore her Sparks uniform.
