This week we have been looking at the artist Jackson Pollock. He made abstract art using a lot of different colours. He used his paint brush to splatter the paint on the canvas. We saw a lot of colours that are "foncé" (dark). Serena thought it looked like outer space. Paisley thought it looked like leaves that were blowing. Bryce said "Je me sens froid because les couleurs are foncé". Another friend thought it looked like the head of a robot. We saw a lot of little dots from the splatters.
We made our own Jackson Pollock art by using marbles covered in paint and rolling them over a piece of paper. It looked really cool and it was a lot of fun to make! We also got to make a class art project. We worked together as a team to make one big splatter paint art outside.
