Les dinosaures

The children became interested in dinosaurs and over a couple weeks we worked hard on our dinosaur inquiry project. The children danced to a song called Les Dinosaures, they pretended to be different kinds of dinosaurs. They read books to do research, often telling us facts they saw in the books. They talked about if the dinosaurs were herbivores, carnivores or omnivores, the different sizes of the dinosaurs, what the bones look like and where they may have lived. The children drew pictures of the dinosaur skeletons, wrote the different names of the dinosaurs and even made their own dinosaur fact books. They made fossils and bones with salt dough we made in class and used those bones to do a dinosaur dig! We were paleontologists for the week! How exciting!

"Look Mlle Benneian! It's a paleontologist!"

"Je suis un paléontologue! This is my shovel and this is my pick-axe."
