With Halloween just around
the corner, you may be wondering how we will be celebrating at school. We will be having a potluck (on Monday,
Oct. 31st after our spirit assembly) where we set out
healthy treats brought from home. Fruit
platters, vegetable trays, muffins, breads, such as banana or zucchini, cheese
and crackers, and other healthy foods are all fabulous options for us to
share. There is a huge assortment of fun
things to make at home with your child, so feel free to get creative. Only healthy treats will be served at
school. Any candy that is brought in
will be distributed and sent home with students. Please remember there are 28 students
in our class.
We are also an
“allergy-aware” classroom, so please no treats that contain nuts/peanuts.
As an alternative to food,
if you would like to contribute craft items or a book for us to read, the children
would surely enjoy this too!
Don’t forget that we will
be having a Halloween Spirit assembly
on Monday, October 31st as well.
Students are encouraged to wear orange and black and Halloween flair, or
Purple and Yellow to represent our Spartan colours!
Merci,
Mlle
Ouellette et Mlle Tofflemire
