Today we learned a lot of great information about animal safety! We learned that animals have emotions just like us and we can look for signs that tell us that they are happy (tail wagging), sad (tail still, head down), angry (teeth showing), and playful (head down, bum in the air). We learned how to ask to pet someone's dog and to put out a fist to let them sniff us first, then scratch under their chin so we don't scare them. We learned to stand still like a tree and look straight if an unknown dog wants to play with us (this way they will get bored and leave us alone). We were very excited to give all our donations of blankets and towels to help the animals at the Humane Society.
