Apple Picking

We had a great time on our trip to Thiessen's Apple Orchard today! We learned about how an apple is grown and what an apple tree looks like in each season. We got to  take a wagon ride to pick our own apples, play on the hay slide, see some farm animals and play on the playground! We even got to see some of the pumpkins starting to grow! A big thank you to all the chaperones who were able to attend today! We couldn't have done it without you! Merci!

Scholastic Books Orders

Today, a package of Scholastics Book Orders was sent home with your child. 

Scholastics Book Club provides an opportunity for parents to purchase books for their students to read at home.  Every purchase that is made through Scholastics helps support the purchase of resources for your student's classroom. 

Details about the "Parents Pay Online" feature was also sent home.  If you are interested in placing an order, please send the order forms (at the back of each individual catalogue) back to school no later than September 21st, 2017.

Please ensure your child's name is indicated on the order form for every catalogue that you are ordering from.  If you choose to pay by cheque instead of paying online, please make your cheque payable to Scholastic Canada and please note that we cannot accept cash.

Welcome to Kindergarten

Welcome to a new school year!  We hope you all had a restful and enjoyable summer with your child.  Here is some quick information to get you started.

Schedule:
Students will be going to the Gym for Physical Education with Mrs. Harnois or Mr. Scheureman on Days 2 & 5. In addition to these teachers, your child will be seeing Mme McGuire on Day 1's for Music and on Day 4 and 5 Mme Gorica will be coming into our classroom to supervise your child's learning and do some drama activities.

Please sign your child up for SeeSaw as soon as possible.  We do the bulk of our communication this way and have found it to be a very useful tool.  A paper with the specifics of how to install this app was sent home. If you require another sheet, write a note in the communication book.
