Today we used apples to do some painting! We had 3 different sizes: grand (big), moyen (medium), petit (small)!

Les géodes
Yesterday we were scientists and we investigated geodes! We enjoyed hammering them with blocks we found, looking at them with the magnifying glasses, and protecting our eyes with the goggles. Lily got the tweezer to pick up the geode so we didn't hurt our fingers. We made lots of observations! Some students said it looks sparkly, or looks like bubbles. Then, the students investigated shells. Ava noticed that some has stripes and spots. Ella discovered that one shell looked like the pictures of geodes we saw. Lily asked to get soap and water to clean the geodes to see if they made it more sparkly. Lily got the flashlights and it make the sparkles easier to see! Ava found a rock that had some sparkles too, but not as many as the geodes. We also listened to the rocks with the stethoscope and could hear the scratching sound they made.
Today, the students looked at pictures of geodes and drew their own! We are going to add sparkles to them on Monday to make them shine like the real ones.
