Schoolyard Clean-up

Yesterday we enjoyed the sunshine outside and cleaned up our schoolyard! We talked about how to pick up garbage safely (do not touch glass, sharp objects, etc.) and ways to stay safe (using gloves, washing our hands afterwards, etc.). We had a great time making our school more beautiful and helping the planet!

 

 

 

 

Earth Day

This week we have been learning about environmentally friendly ways we can help keep our planet green! We talked about how to conserve water and energy, how to recycle, and many other ideas we had. We used our ideas to make Earth Day posters for the Eco Team's poster contest! Dominic was announced as the winner for the Kindergarten division and he won some eco-friendly prizes! Way to go Dominic! We all worked really hard to make some beautiful posters. Check out all our posters below. Can you find your poster?

We attended an Earth Day assembly today that was lead by the Eco Team. 

We learned more about how to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
