Green to Support Peter Pan!

Sorry for the late notice, but we have a spirit assembly tomorrow and the theme is Diligence. During the assembly, the cast of the Peter Pan play will be showcasing some of their songs so we will be wearing green to support the play! Or you can wear your Peter Pan shirt! 

Pink Shirt Day! Anti-bullying Awareness

Today we wore pink to show our support in putting a stop to bullying. We are buddies, not bullies!

Anti-Bullying Awareness Day Tomorrow

Wednesday February 25 all students are asked to wear pink in support of our anti-bullying campaign. This can be pink clothing or accessories. All students are encouraged to participate.

Lundi l'art - Mondrian

Every other Monday, we will be looking at the work of a famous artist. We will discuss what we see (shape, colours, types of lines etc.) and how it makes us feel. We will then be using our own art skills to make art that is inspired by these artists. 

This week's artist is Piet Mondrian.

We found that this artist uses only blue, red, yellow, black and white colours.  

He uses squares and rectangles. 

He only uses straight lines.

We had 2 birthdays this month! Bonne fête Yara et Zachary! 

Happy Chinese New Year!

Tomorrow, February 19th, is Chinese New Year! Katelyn shared some of her traditions with the class today. She will have a big family celebration tonight and she brought some of the celebration to school today. Katelyn brought in chocolate coins for each student. It's a tradition to put money under your pillow for 3 nights and a special plant in your room for 10 days to bring good luck.  Merci pour partager Katelyn! 

La fête de St. Valentin!

We celebrated Valentine's Day today! We made special bags to collect our valentines in. We decorated them with hearts and used red, pink, purple, and white craft items.  We talked about making cards to show our friends and family how much we love them! 

I made a heart sandwich!

We wrote all the reasons we love our class!
